    In Short
The first U.S. branch of the YMCA started in Boston in 1851; there are now more than 2,500 locations nationwide, making it the country's largest nonprofit community service program. Each YMCA reflects the community it's in, offering differing services based on the area. Most include fitness areas with aerobic equipment, classes and racquetball and tennis courts. Many also have day care and after-school programs, as well as summer day camps.

A Decent Hotel at an Okay Price by Candice C. at InsiderPages

The Constitution Inn has a great location, right near the Boston Navy Yard. It is in historic Charlestown on the Freedom Trail and is near many interesting sights, including the USS Constitution. The rooms are a decent size and there is free wireless available, which is quite nice. However, the staff tends to be rude and unfriendly. They have a shuttle that will bring you right into downtown Boston for just $1.50, which is a price you can't beat. But, a night at the hotel itself is regularly $250. It's a no-frills hotel, and I don't think it merits the $250/night pricetag. You can sometimes get it on special for $199. Try to go even lower on an internet travel engine. There are many better places to stay in Boston. This place is okay as a last resort. Otherwise, I'd avoid it if I were you. PROS: great location CONS: expensive, rude staff, no-frills

What? No ice? by Shu Chin M. at InsiderPages

When I arrived at the hotel around 12:45pm, I was told to come back after 2pm because the room wasn??t cleaned, this is hardly appropriate considering the price I forked over and for someone out of town, the least they could do is let me leave my luggage during the mean time. The pimply clerk was rude and obviously hated his job. The room was not clean when I finally got into my room, which begs the question what exactly where they cleaning?
